The Ishiki round coffee table by Lebanto is carved entirely from marble: a round top set on a cross-leg base cut from the same stone, a low, sculptural centrepiece where top and base read as one continuous material. Two solid marble panels meet perpendicular to one another to form the base that is interlocked to the top. The round top rests on it with no metal, no wood, and no applied ornament, the weight of the stone doing all the work. Cut across both top and base, the veining flows continuously through the piece, each one unique to the slabs it comes from.
